Kinstretch Workshop

Kinstretch- a movement enhancement system that developed maximum body control, flexibility and USABLE ranges of motion.
What does this mean? Come and find out!
Kinstretch is designed to compliment and improve your sports endeavors, yoga, swimming, weight lifting, and/ or your fitness goals choose to participate in by helping you gain better control and understanding of your own body.
For over flexible people, it means getting control over your flexibility by strengthening that range.
For non flexible people it means improving your strength in opposing ranges, freeing up joint space and increasing range of motion.
For all people, it means learning how to take care of and assess your joint movements DAILY. As you open your mind to the capability and resiliency of your joints (shoulders, hips, ankles, spine, elbows, wrists and knees) you will improve the nervous system connection and improve your quality of movement. In this workshop, you will learn how to safely improve the health of your joints. A daily routine will be taught and video library provided for your continued use.
And it will be challenging and fun! It's a win win!

Kinstretch- Fridays 7:00 am

KINSTRETCH: A movement enhancement system that develops maximum body control, flexibility and USABLE ranges of motion.

The KINSTRETCH system is one born out of scientific research. All of the movements and training techniques have been selected based on a meticulous and rigorous investigation of evidence, conducted by physical conditioning and medical experts, as it pertains to body control, injury prevention, joint health, and physical longevity.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT
YOUR FIRST KINSTRETCH CLASS

EXPECT to develop a practice that is based on scientific research in mobility training.

EXPECT to use limited equipment- only small props such as mats, Kinstretch blocks and Kinstretch balls.

EXPECT to use and control your own body  throughout the class, meaning this class is based on internal effort (irradiation).

EXPECT to be introduced to FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) principals and terminology. Instructors may provide you with FRC terminology through their instruction, as it is based off of FRC principals.

EXPECT to be educated. Kinstretch is meant to enhance your life and help you get better at whatever you want to get better at. The more you show up, the more familiar you will be become with the concepts. The more you implement this practice into your lifestyle, the more effective the training will be/the more results you will see.

EXPECT a variety of students in the class. Kinstretch is not geared to a specific population; it is geared to humans in general. Expect a variety of ages, body types, athletes, teams, individuals with various occupations and fitness levels on a continuum.

Myofascial and Mobility- Thursdays 7:00am

Designed for those who value massage and understand the importance of working with the tissues, this class is a great way to start your day and weekend. Just like a deep tissue massage, these release techniques may not always be comfortable. We will spend time building communication between the target tissues and nervous system, conditioning the relax/ engage response. Afterwards, we will work through mobility exercises designed to activate these responses and build better proprioception in these structures. The improved proprioception will help to facilitate more control, better alignment, coordination and strength in your daily activities and sports pursuits. Another benefit is quieting and calming your autonomic nervous system (flight/ fight/ stress response) to start your day with less stress. This low intensity class utilizes foam rollers, balls, and blocks and breathing techniques.
